Kindness: A Legacy of the Holocaust play to show on HMD

Milton Keynes District Reform Synagogue (MKDRS), in collaboration with Voices of the Holocaust, AJR and the 45 Aid Society, is producing a special performance of Kindness: A Legacy of the Holocaust.
This powerful verbatim play, already performed for over 30,000 students across the UK, recounts the story of Hungarian Holocaust survivor Susan Pollack OBE, who was just 13 years old when she was sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1944.
The narrative also weaves in the love story and spiritual resistance of Mala Zimetbaum and Edek Galinski, set against one of the darkest periods in Jewish history.
The special performance will take place at the JFS Theatre in Kenton on Holocaust Memorial Day, Monday 27 January, at 7.30pm. It will form part of an evening of reflection and remembrance, with special guests to be announced.
Tickets can be bought here.
Voices of the Holocaust is a unique charity established in partnership with MKDRS, dedicated to preserving the legacy of Holocaust survivors through verbatim theatre. The organisation, with the help of synagogue members, supports the development and rehearsal of new works – guiding actors in various aspects of Jewish faith, culture and music, even accommodating them in their homes to immerse them in Jewish life.
The performance is aimed at everyone who wishes to remember, reflect and ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust are never forgotten.
