Welcoming Rabbi Strasko to Sinai Synagogue Leeds
Rabbi Paul Strasko, Sinai Synagogue Leeds‘ new rabbi, and his wife, Katrin Bergmann, were welcomed in style last Sunday with a grand Yorkshire tea party. The weather smiled as Sinai members and friends, many suitably garbed in flat hats and summery outfits, enjoyed the opportunity to socialise, eat the delicious afternoon tea prepared by Sinai’s talented bakers and sandwich makers, and begin to get to know the new arrivals. who, in turn, relished the opportunity to meet so many Sinai members in an informal setting.
Sinai’s chair, David J Israel, said, the afternoon tea: “…had been delightful. Almost a quarter of our community turned to welcome a Rabbi Strasko and his wife Katrin in true Yorkshire style with tea, sandwiches, scones and cricket!” He continued: “Rabbi Strasko is set to make quite an impact not just on Sinai but across the Leeds Jewish community.”
