Secure the future of Reform Judaism with your legacy

L’dor v’dor – from one generation to the next generation we pass down our Jewish tradition. Judaism has remained vibrant because we prioritise renewing our heritage for those who come after us. We know that our children and our children’s children will be able to find a spiritual home in Reform Judaism; a home built on the values of inclusion and equality, always fighting for tikkun olam – a better, brighter future. In Judaism we say that the memory of previous generations is a blessing, because we are blessed with all that they have built and provided for us.

By leaving a legacy of any size to Reform Judaism, thousands of people in the next generation will continue to delight in that blessing for decades to come.

What will your legacy achieve?

Ensure a Jewish future

Your gift has the power to ensure a fruitful and vibrant future for Jewish people. One that is rooted in equality, a love of Jewish learning, and a mission to build a just society for all. Ensure these values last with your legacy.

Strengthen Jewish Identities

Our work supports Jewish people in their communities, at RSY-Netzer camps, at universities, and throughout the Jewish life cycle. Your legacy will help us to continue strengthening these Jewish identities across the UK.

More life-changing moments

Your gift will enable more young people to receive financial assistance so they can attend a life changing RSY-Netzer event.

Support our Communities

Your legacy will help Reform Judaism continue to support and develop our communities in every aspect of synagogue life.

Whatever the size of legacy you choose to leave, your kindness and generosity will make a real difference to the future of Reform Jews in the UK.  By leaving a legacy to Reform Judaism, you may be able to reduce the taxable value of your assets and lower the amount of inheritance tax due on your estate. We would always recommend that you speak to a solicitor when making or amending your Will.

There are several ways that you can leave a legacy to Reform Judaism.

Residue Legacy

A share of your estate (also known as a residuary gift) is whatever is left after all debts, funeral expenses, other costs, tax, and any other legacies have been deducted.

Pecuniary Legacy

A fixed sum of money.

Item-Specific Legacy

A particular named item – for example, a piece of jewellery, furniture or a painting. Generally, we will arrange for such gifts to be valued and then sold to raise funds to support our work.
