Support for Ukraine Refugees

Many of us want to reach out and help those fleeing war torn Ukraine. Here is a list of organisations and resources to guide you:
- Donations
World Union for Progressive Judaism: www.wupj.org/give/ukraine
World Jewish Relief: www.worldjewishrelief.org/ways-to-donate/appeals/1267-ukraine-crisis-appeal
*These organisations help both Jews and non-Jews.
- Offer Temporary Accommodation for Ukrainian Jews
The organisations Room for Refugees and Refugees At Home are taking registrations now for those able to offer accommodation. These charities are based in the UK, but work internationally and have launched an immediate response to the needs of Ukrainian refugees.
- Write to your MP
We are bitterly disappointed at the government’s current approach towards migrants and refugees who are desperate to flee to this country. We have written to Prime Minister Johnson, Priti Patel the Home Secretary, and the Minister for Immigration Compliance Chris Philp MP and urge you to write to your local MP to add your voice to our call. Rene Cassin, the Jewish Voice for Human Rights have drafted a template letter and details of how to contact your local MP should you need help.
- Local Groups – Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain
If you are looking to offer practical help there are many hundreds of local groups across the UK collecting items to transport to refugees who have fled.
