Statement from Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner following the attacks in Copenhagen
The news from Copenhagen this weekend is deeply saddening. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish communities of Denmark at this time, sending prayers of comfort, strength and consolation.
As with the attacks in Paris, our response must be to continue to live our Jewish lives with pride and dedication. No one should ever gather in places of worship in fear or feel that their continued participation in the life of their country has no future.
In particular the tragic death of Dan Ozen, a volunteer security guard, reminds me of the important work done by such volunteers in our communities; I thank them for their dedication and for looking after us.
