Simcha Day in Totnes

Simcha DayOn Sunday 17 May, Totnes Jewish Community hosted a day of simcha (joy) and celebration, to which communities across the South West were invited.

Marc Frank said: “It was a wonderful opportunity for small communities of the region to get together to participate in Israeli dancing, share Jewish stories and jokes, and enjoy an abundance of food and good cheer. The event was well attended by visitors from Exeter and Cornwall, and lively Jewish music was provided by Joel Segal and Howard Harrison from Klezmer dance band ‘Kevara’. Special thanks to Susannah Maurer who put together the event, and led the dancing with such a spirit of enthusiasm and joy.”
