Reform Judaism – Treasurer

Reform Judaism is a family of communities that believes in values of equality, justice and egalitarianism. Our work is to strengthen our communities so that the voice of our modern, open minded Judaism is heard and is impactful, to make our community, society and world a better place to live in.

As future generations bring change, Reform Judaism adapts and evolves. To do this we need to be able to find innovative solutions on all fronts.

We are looking for:-

You will be a confident leader, a proactive business planner who can transform our financial modelling. A passionate Reform Jew who will lead on creative and inspirational solutions to our challenges.

We are therefore seeking expressions of interest specifically from those who have been Treasurers within their community or who have professional financial experience.  This Honorary Officer role oversees financial matters of Reform Judaism in line with best practice and in accordance with our governance and UK legal requirements.  The Treasurer works closely with the Chief Operating Officer.  This is a voluntary role with an initial appointment of three years.

How can you help us:-

Work together with us to find new financials models

Share your professional financial skills and experience that can benefit our Board and Reform Judaism

Build strong relationships with our communities

Uphold the importance of safeguarding within a not for profit organisation

Able to commit to monthly evening meetings (this can be done remotely on line)

Be an ambassador for Reform Judaism, occasionally representing Reform Judaism at communal and cross-communal events

Process: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet two of our Honorary Officers.
