Reform Judaism Seeks Two New Trustees for Youth and Fundraising


Reform Judaism is a family of communities that believes in values of equality, justice and egalitarianism. Our work is to strengthen our communities so that the voice of our modern, open minded Judaism is heard and is impactful, to make our community, society and world a better place to live in.

As future generations bring change, Reform Judaism adapts and evolves. To do this we need to be able to find innovative solutions on all fronts.

We are looking for:

Youth Trustee

You will be a confident leader who has grown up benefiting from everything that RSY-Netzer and Reform Judaism has to offer. Your desire to work closely with our Youth Department to be creative in the development of the next stages of our Youth provision will provide you with the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future for Progressive Judaism. This role works closely with the Youth Team.  This is a voluntary role with an initial appointment of three years.

Fundraising Trustee

Instilled in the values of Reform Judaism you will be a passionate believer in its future and be excited to be a critical friend to the fundraising team. You will need an understanding of fundraising, governance and data protection in relation to fundraising as well as the ability to hold an overview of our fundraising and its effect on RJ. Working closely with our professional team, a credible and excellent communicator, you will have an opportunity to meet potential donors to inspire their engagement in our work.  This role works closely with the Fundraising Manager and Chief Operating Officer.

Share your professional and personal experience that can benefit our Board and Reform Judaism

Build strong relationships with our communities

Uphold the importance of safeguarding within a not for profit organisation

Able to commit to monthly evening meetings (this can be done remotely online)

Be an ambassador for Reform Judaism, occasionally representing Reform Judaism at communal and cross-communal events

Reform Judaism is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and Trustees to actively share this commitment. References will be required for all Trustees.  Applicants must also be willing to undergo clearance via the DBS.
