Reform Judaism Congratulates New Muslim Council Head
Reform Judaism would like to congratulate Zara Mohammed, who has been elected as the first female head of the Muslim Council of Britain. At only 29, Zara is also the youngest person to fill the role.
Rabbi Celia Surget, chair of the Assembly of Reform Rabbis and Cantors, said “I wish Ms Mohammed every success in her new leadership role and hope that she can inspire more women and young people to get involved. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Muslim Council of Britain in interfaith conversations.”
Reform Judaism considers it an integral part of our mission to build a just society, to engage in interfaith dialogue and to work with people of all faiths and none on matters of social action.
