Rabbi Miriam Berger joins ‘Make London a Living Wage City’ Initiative

Rabbi Miriam Berger and other delegates alongside Sarah Mullally, Bishop of London, and Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London.

Rabbi Miriam is proud to represent faith leaders, alongside the Bishop of London, on the Mayor of London’s Making London a Living Wage City steering group.

On the vision for this important project Rabbi Berger said – “As a rabbi my real motivation is to make people’s lives better whether that is through personal support at transitional moments, communal connections and ritual or bringing about justice through societal change. Sitting around the table with the Mayor of London, leaders in business and social care as well as academics, economists and community organisers offers a tangible opportunity to make a difference to the lives of millions. As a Jewish professional I sit on many committees but one whose mission is to make London a living wage city as we free fall into this cost of living crisis is one that sounds messianic to those most in need.”
