Guests included Dr Shuja Shafi, secretary general of the Muslim Council of Britain; Rev Lucy Winkett of St James’ Church Piccadilly; Edward Stourton of BBC Radio 4; Doug Swanney, Connexional Secretary of the Methodist Church, Father Terry Tastard of St Mary’s Catholic Church in East Finchley; Sughra Ahmed, programmes manager at the Woolf Institute in Cambridge; Onjali Rauf, chief executive of Making Herstory, a company founded to combat the abuse and trafficking of women and girls worldwide; Shahin Ashraf MBE, project manager of the Muslim Women’s Network, and chaplain to students at Birmingham University and Satish Sharma, the general secretary of the National Council of Hindu Temples.
