Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner at Haaretz Peace Conference
Yesterday, Thursday 12 November, Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner, Senior Rabbi to Reform Judaism, participated in the Haaretz Israel Conference on Peace in Tel Aviv. She joined Israeli President Reuvin Rivlin, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and renowned journalist Ari Shavit in addressing the event.
Invited to speak on a panel of experts consisting of diplomats from around the world, Rabbi Janner-Klausner gave her thoughts on the topic “The Bloody Conflict: a view from abroad.” Drawing on timely polling of the Jewish community by Yachad released this week by the Jewish Chronicle, the packed David Intercontinental hotel heard of the challenges faced in enthusing young British Jews about Israel.
