New Youth Director for the Movement for Reform Judaism

Becca Fetterman has been appointed as the new Youth Director of the Movement for Reform Judaism (MRJ).

She is leaving her position as Liberal Judaism’s Director of Youth to take up the role.

Becca is staying on at Liberal Judaism to help recruit and train a successor and will begin work for MRJ once that person is in place or at the start of 2024 (whichever is sooner).

Alongside the creation of Progressive Judaism, the two youth movements, RSY-Netzer and LJY-Netzer, will continue to operate independently catering to their different audiences, while benefitting from better resources and stronger support to improve the life-changing experiences they offer for young Progressive Jews.

Becca, who grew up as a member of Finchley Reform Synagogue and is an active Reform Jew said: “The Movement for Reform Judaism is a key part of my family’s life – indeed my dad used to do this exact job – so I am really excited and can’t wait to get stuck in.

“Working with Liberal Judaism and LJY-Netzer over the last nine years has been an honour and a privilege. I have learnt so much from the members of LJY-Netzer and am so grateful for how they welcomed me into their community.”
