Ruth Aarons – Administrator

Ruth joined in August 2004 and is the Reform Judaism Administrator. Ruth is the first point of contact in the office, and the receiver of all general telephone and email enquiries which come in both from the synagogues, and also from the general public via our website. Ruth enjoys being able to help people in her role.

Alyson Joseph – Senior RSY-Netzer Administrator

Alyson grew up in Southgate and belonged to the Cockfosters & North Southgate Synagogue for many years until she left the area.  She has worked in various fields since leaving school including in debt collection, real estate and recruitment. She joined Reform Judaism (then RSGB) in 1987, transferring to RSY-Netzer as the administrator for Israel Tour. Her role now includes logistics for all summer and winter camps, Israel Tour, Shnat, Hadracha and various other events throughout the year. Alyson is our longest serving employee!

Marcia Singer – Database and Fundraising Administrator

Marcia has been a staff member of Reform Judaism for 15 years. She works as an administrator for fundraising and finance, as well as sales of books and certificates to our Reform Synagogues.

Beit Din

Lynsey Goodmaker – Beit Din Assistant

Lynsey joined Reform Judaism in August 2018 as the Beit Din Assistant.  Lynsey previously worked in Health PR & Communications in agencies, in-house and for the charity sector.  She is responsible for Reform Judaism’s Beit Din administration.

Communication & Press

Dan Jackson – Senior Media Executive

Dan is a Producer and Senior Media Executive and has worked on a variety of Arts, Science and Religious Affairs programming for TV and radio for almost two decades. Dan grew in Sinai Synagogue in Leeds and is now a Member of the Manchester Reform Synagogue. After graduating from university Dan completed a year as a Movement Worker for RSY-Netzer and then went on to work at ITV, the BBC and a number of independent production companies. Dan focusses on our Communication Strategy, branding and our audio and video content including our bi-weekly podcast ‘Rabbiting On.’

Carmen McPherson – Communications Editor

Carmen is responsible for co-ordinating MRJ communications both internally and externally. She also manages the MRJ Web Site, social media channels, handles press enquiries and complies the weekly MRJ newsletter.

Graham Miller – Senior Media Executive

Graham is responsible for liaison with the media, both Jewish and mainstream. Using his many years of journalistic experience, he ensures the Movement gets appropriate story coverage for the good work that is carried out. He coaches key MRJ personnel how best to deal with the media and advises on presentation skills and public speaking proficiency.

Graham also authors MRJ’s festival messages and formal announcements on behalf of the 43 independent synagogues. If you have a good story to tell, please get in touch!

Education

Naomi Raanan – Community & Education Manager

Naomi is our Community Education and Youth Manager. Her role is to support all communities with their Education and youth provision and support the connections between their work and RSY-Netzer. Naomi is  member of Sinai Synagogue in Leeds. She grew up with RSY-Netzer and was an RSY-Netzer movement worker in 2014-16. She has a background in Primary Education and taught for 5 years before taking on this role at the MRJ.

Finance

Marsha Dryer – Book keeper

Marsha joined Reform Judaism over 26 years ago as a part-time Book-Keeper for Reform Judaism, Leo Baeck College, Manor House Trust and later Shofar Day Care Nursery. She lives in Hertfordshire, has been married for 52 years and has 6 Grandchildren with ages ranging between 11 and 21 years.

April Herbert – Accounts Assistant

April has provided Finance support ( budgeting, cash management, bursaries) for RSY-Netzer, and wider documentation support for MRJ since 2010. Prior this April worked in Investment Banking for 20 years.

Alison Hinchin – Finance Manager

Alison spent over 20 years in practice focussed on charity accounting exposure in financial and management accounting. She was also assistant manager of the outsourcing department of a top 20 practice. After a spell in a commercial environment, Alison moved to RJ and now has fun juggling the demands involved in the accounts of four charitable entities.

In her spare time Alison will be found indulging her love of sports. Either playing tennis and hockey, or watching football, rugby or pretty much any competitive event!

I.T.

Debra McCourt – IT Helpdesk and Database Manager

Debra is the First Line support on the IT Helpdesk for staff, support clients, Lay Leadership, rabbinic students and volunteers. Other responsibilities include upkeep of data on the organisation’s membership database, staff IT inductions, and user training of software packages. Prior roles include an 18 year career in British Telecom in various engineering groups, and in BT Global Communications.

Gary Neasby – Head of IT

Gary is the Head of IT and has been with the organisation for over 15 years. He is responsible for and manages our ICT-related systems and services as well as playing a key role in data governance strategy and policy decision making. Prior roles include working in film distribution and local council. In his free time, Gary enjoys playing football with his son, photography and badminton.
