The Job
RSY-Netzer and the Movement for Reform Judaism place a high importance on all aspects of safeguarding and wellbeing and strive to ensure that we are as inclusive as possible, creating a safe and welcoming space for young people.
We are looking for either a full or part qualified medically trained person who also has experience working or volunteering with young people, to work on our residential winter camp, Sheleg.
You will be the first port of call for all medical emergencies arising from the participants and leaders, be responsible for dispensing and administering of any prescription and non –prescription medication, keeping appropriate records as well as referring medical issues to relevant professionals whilst communicating appropriately with parents or guardians.
You will need experience of handling complex or sensitive issues and able to work confidently, calmly and sensitively verbally, in writing, face-to-face or over the phone.
You must have a valid first aid certificate and safeguarding children (level 2) or willing to achieve this prior to departure. This post is subject to a enhance DBS
Clearance.
