Launch of Rakefet Online

On 20 May representatives of Reform communities met at the Sternberg Centre to see a public demonstration of Rakefet Online, a synagogue management system. Melissa Wolfmann, Managing Director of Rakefet Unlimited, located in Fresno California, visited to demonstrate the first beta version of Rakefet Online.

41 participants from 18 different communities, representing more than 60% of the MRJ membership took part. Some were participating in the live streaming session.

There was a lively discussion on the new and enhanced features of Rakefet Online. For most of the participants, their current reference is Rakefet for Windows, the aging PC version of the same product.

Edgware and District Reform Synagogue, Alyth (North Western Reform Synagogue) and Manchester Reform together with our Project Manager, Dave Middleton, will participate in the Rakefet Online closed beta programme. They will report their findings to the wider MRJ community after the High Holy Days.
