Induction of Rabbi Shulamit Ambalu at Sha’arei Tsedek

On Shabbat 18 May Sha’arei Tsedek North London Reform Synagogue held a special Shabbat morning service marking the induction of Rabbi Shulamit Ambalu as its Principal Rabbi.

Special guests included Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner, Senior Rabbi to Reform Judaism; Rabbi Dr Deborah Kahn-Harris, Principal of Leo Baeck College and Councillor Reuben Thompstone, Mayor of Barnet.

Rabbi Ambalu joined the community in early 2018. Richard Woolf, Sha’arei Tsedek Chair said: “With the arrival of Rabbi Ambalu we look forward to continuing to develop a model Reform Jewish community that is vibrant, inclusive and welcoming to all. Together we look to build a relational community based on values of Torah, avodah (service) and gemillut chassidim (acts of loving kindness).Today is a milestone in our community’s history, formally marking Rabbi Ambalu’s appointment and, on behalf of the community, I wish Shulamit every success and support in the years ahead”.
