Finchley Reform Synagogue held a special weekend of events to mark the opening of their new synagogue building, and the induction of Rabbi Deborah Blausten. A Drinks reception welcomed dignitaries including Mike Freer MP and Councillor Alison Moore, the Mayor of Barnet.

Other highlights were a Jubilee dinner and Tikkun Leil Shavuot for 150, and a Shavuot Shacharit service where we invited all babies born over lockdown for a baby blessing. During Shavuot morning children could climb ‘Mount Sinai’ (a bouncy slide!). The service was followed by a Jubilee-themed kiddush, along with ice cream from an ice cream van for the whole community.
