Guest Speaker
Our speaker this year will be Gerald Granston, one of the last living survivors of the St Louis, the doomed refugee ship turned away by Cuba, the US, and Canada and sent back to Europe (Antwerp) in May/June 1939.
An experienced speaker, he has an historic and remarkable story to tell. It is exactly 80 years since the St Louis debacle, making Gerald’s testimony, based on his experience as a six year old, all the more poignant and important to hear.
