“The best way to know the soul of another country is to read its literature.” ― Amos Oz
Please join with us for an evening of literature and music, featuring the writings of Amos Oz; singing from our choir and a delicious falafel supper.
Amos Oz was a very great writer who embodied Israel’s story in his own life, in his hopes, and in his political expression. As a writer who was born before the State, he crafts the Hebrew language with every book he wrote. In these troubled times, his vision is more necessary than it ever was.
We will also have an opportunity to listen to the works of other Israeli writers, some well-known, and some known only to members of Sha’arei Tsedek.
