We are delighted to be joined by three fantastically talented musicians and educators as well as our very own Cantor Zöe Jacobs. Zöe fell in love with Judaism and Jewish music while sitting in concentric circles both on the floor of FRS and at RSY-Netzer Shemesh. Zöe was ordained in 2009 from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, having studied in Jerusalem and New York and she is now the Cantor at FRS
The second faculty member we are delighted to announce is Stephen Glass, internationally renowned composer and choirs director. Stephen will not only join us for the conference itself but will join our choir leaders for two online webinars in advance allowing time for new music to be taught to choirs joining us at Shirei Chagigah. Cantor Rosalie Boxt will be a familiar face to many of you, she is the Director of Worship for the Union for Reform Judaism. A past Vice President of the American Conference of Cantors, Rosalie serves as faculty of the URJ Music and Songleading Workshop Hava Nashira, is on the Vision Team for the URJ’s Campaign for Youth Engagement, and is the executive director of Kesher Shir, a venture which brings together diverse Jewish musicians to study, collaborate, and create meaningful music that enriches and enlivens worship and strengthens communities.
He was with us in 2015 again in 2017 and we are delighted that Noah Aronson will be with us again in 2019. Noah is an extremely talented songwriter, composer and musician having produced two full length albums and song books. Noah writes music that complements tefillah (prayer), listen here to Noah’s Hinei Mah Tov and find more music and videos on his website
