Northern Chagigah is where all of our northern communities meet together for a weekend of relaxation, learning, praying and fun.
Everyone comes for different reasons – to be spiritually recharged, to enjoy a Shabbat away from everyday routine, to be delighted that the children are being looked after and Jewishly engaged by RSY-Netzer or the creche (if they’re under 5), for the learning experiences or just for a lovely weekend where your meals are cooked for you and you can completely relax, unwind and switch off. (We have even heard rumours that some people come just for the evenings in the bar with new friends and lazy mornings in bed!)
Northern Chagigah is all about what YOU want. Whether it’s to be up at the crack of dawn leading a run around the grounds, tackling Talmud or having a good sing in a Shabbat service, it’s completely up to you. Here is the draft programme Northern Chagigah Programme 27th October 2017 so you can get an idea of what is planned for this year.
If you are in a leadership position in your community there will also be plenty of opportunities for networking – meeting other board members, youth leaders, cheder teachers, treasuers so you can share ideas and get support from each other.
Our theme for this year is around seasons changing and time passing – expect Bonfire night meets Balfour Declaration (without the pyrotechnics!)
There will be a creche and RSY-Netzer running youth programmes with Netzafon* so all children are very well catered for – or if you prefer they are more than welcome to come to sessions with you.

The practical info… This is a simply gorgeous fantastic conference venue that we have exclusive use of, there is of course a downside which we feel is worth it.
All rooms have a double bed. Yes there are no twin rooms nor family rooms. We still want you to come!
If you have one child they will be on an air mattress in your room and if you have two children they will be in the bedroom next door to you (if you have more we will work it out!) If you have children who are not happy sharing a bed there are loads of options – one can be on an air bed or they can mix it up and share with friends. An exciting sleepover!
There is a single occupancy charge but Reform Judaism have absorbed most of the cost because we don’t think it’s fair.
Finally. We absolutely believe that EVERYONE should be able to join all Reform Judaism events and cost should NEVER be a barrier. If you would like help in coming we ask that you first speak to your community and then come to us so we can make up the difference for you to come. Call Sarita for a completely confidential chat and NO PAPERWORK 07415 274362
Booking help… When you select a ticket just fill in your details – if you would like to book further tickets just scroll down and you will find them underneath (not ideal but our expertise is synagogues not computers!) and yes – you do need to re-enter your name and email at the bottom. We’re not really sure why but they experts say we can’t avoid it.
If you don’t get an immediate automated response (check your junk mail) your booking hasn’t worked, we’re not sure why but call us and let us help you, 07415 274362.
*Netzafon is running at Northern Chagigah for children aged 5+, the rest of the year it is for those in years 4-10, click here for more details of events accross the North that your children would LOVE to be part of
