Hear Ian Austin speak about his experiences as a Labour Party Member of Parliament in this period of uncertainty.
In 1939 Ian’s father, Fred, arrived in the UK as a ten-year-old Jewish refugee from what was then Czechoslovakia. He was the only member of his family to survive – his mother and sisters were murdered in Treblinka.
Ian is a supporter of Labour Friends of Israel, a member of the Jewish Labour Movement and has worked closely with the Holocaust Educational Trust, helping secure Government funding for their ‘Lessons from Auschwitz’ project in 2006. He has been the MP for Dudley North since 2005.
