Congregational Renewal and Leadership Development Course

22 July 2018, 9am-6:30pm, London

We are delighted that after training over 150 leaders in the last two years there is still demand and interest in our leadership training. This training will be led by Charlotte Fischer from Citizens UK, focusing on membership engagement, leadership trajectory and community building through relationships and putting our members at the core of what we are doing.

Reform Judaism is partnering communities that commit to creating teams that will develop our Strengthening Communities Initiatives. The key to the initiatives being successful is for the teams to embark on ongoing training that will enable them to lead change in their community. At the core of the initiatives is the belief that we should develop our leaders and volunteers through building strong relationships.

This training, is part of our commitment to work with all communities that are passionate about community renewal and would like to explore ways of creating a new cohort of leaders both for their community and for Reform Judaism.

The course at a glance

To grow effectively an engaging cohort of leaders, a community needs to build on a process and set of tools that are about renewing and rejuvenating our communities –increasing participation in communities (not just seeing people at Rosh Hashanah), increasing leadership in synagogues (not having the same people do everything) and increasing our communities’ abilities to respond to what people actually want (not what someone thinks a group wants, or should want). This is what this special course is about.

As part of our commitment to communities, we will facilitate home hospitality for those travelling far and pay travel for those outside the M25

Registration for this event is now closed. If you still wish to attend please email: amit@rjuk.org
