Director of Music – Mosaic Reform Synagogue

Part Time (approx. 5 hrs/week)

Mosaic Reform Synagogue is a dynamic founder member of Mosaic Jewish Community, a unique cooperation of three closely connected yet independent progressive Jewish congregations in North West London. We move into exciting purpose-built new premises in the Spring.

We are seeking an experience Jewish music professional to lead singing, prayer and music.   The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills, be charismatic in order to inspire and encourage congregational song-leading and music.  Our ideal candidate will also have the ability to sing and accompany on a musical instrument.

This exciting role is responsible for training and directing the choir, introducing new music (in collaboration with the Rabbi),  and work with our religion school bringing music into the curriculum.

This position involves evening, weekend and Yom Tovim working, so flexibility and availability at these times is paramount.
