Chanukah at Sinai Synagogue

Sinai Synagogue Leeds hosted several Chanukah events this year, starting with the Sinai Connexions Chanukah lunch and ending with the community Chanukah party on 13 December.

Val Mogendorff, who co-ordinated the Connexions lunch, said: “Our annual Chanukah lunch was enhanced by entertainment from Mike and Joan Stevens, Helen Arion, and Lydia Cohen, who led the participants in singing.

“Many thanks to them for donating their time and giving such enjoyment. All are welcome at the monthly Connexions lunches – just contact me via Sinai Synagogue if you’d like to know more”.

Gwynneth Lewis, who organised the Chanukah party, commented: “Thank you to everyone who helped make Sinai’s Chanukah Party such a great event – we had a terrific team”.

Pazit Ziv, who made salt dough, painted faces and told stories, added: “We had lots of fun!” and from Rabbi Esther Hugenholtz: “Thank you all – it was a fabulous party and Sinai at its finest. Kol hakavod!“
