Amit Handelsman Appointed Director of Fundraising

We are delighted to announce that Amit Handelsman will take on a new role as Director of Fundraising, from 1 July 2022.

Michael Harris, Co-Chair announced the new appointment on 30 June 2022, and said – “For over seven years Amit has been the Director of Community Partnership for our southern communities.  He has been pivotal in strengthening relationships between the Movement and those communities. Amit has used “Relational Judaism” as the underpinning concept to the way he works with the communities, offering a bespoke approach to challenges and developmental aspirations.

The combination of this experience at MRJ, his deep understanding of British Jewry from his involvement with both progressive movements since 1996, and his wealth of experience through his time with New Israel Fund, both in fundraising events and donor relationships, means Amit is an excellent fit. He is well positioned to work with the new Board and future CEO in maintaining and developing our fundraising, so we can continue to focus on strengthening our communities and being the leading Progressive voice in the UK, and indeed Europe.”
