Alyth and Tzedek Activism ProjectAlyth and Tzedek Activism Project: showing that young people can make a difference. Alyth Galim is proud to announce a new five week programme to learn about global issues and how we can make an impact. The workshops will teach about global issues through the work of Tzedek and will give young people the knowledge and tools to run a campaign about the global issues they care about.

Who and When:

Open to all Reform youth aged 13 – 16 (year 9 - year 11).
Wednesdays 5.30pm - 6.30pm at Alyth (North Western Reform Synagogue).

Dates:

Session 1 – March 7th: Global issues, a Jewish perspective
Session 2 – March 14th: Overseas projects: How Tzedek chooses its projects
Session 3 – March 21st: What is a campaign?
Session 4 – March 28th: How to run a campaign?
Session 5 – April 18th: Planning your own campaign and event

Tzedek is the UK Jewish community's response to extreme poverty. Tzedek is a voluntarily led non-governmental organisation that draws upon the skills and resources of the Jewish community to better the lives of those less fortunate. Tzedek aims to nurture and empower open-minded Jewish community leaders to promote the fight against extreme poverty.
