RESOURCE, the Jewish Employment Advice Centre
RESOURCE was established in 1992 (as the Employment Resource Centre) to provide free support for unemployed Jewish people to get into or back to work speedily, efficiently and effectively.
RESOURCE offers clients skills via workshops, one-to-one consultations and seminars to improve their chances of finding work and learning how to network.
It is not an employment agency but has a dedicated networking team who forge relationships with employers looking for interns and new employees. Find out more at the RESOURCE Website. Maidenhead Synagogue is seeking a Youth Worker. A very vibrant community with some 200 children in 4-16 years age band, Maidenhead is open to new ideas and change and happy to give the youth worker a free but supported hand in their work.
- Start September 2010
- 30 hour week (but could be negotiated to less if perferred).
- Salary in region of £21,000 subject to qualifications.

Religion School Head Teacher

The Liberal Jewish Synagogue is a diverse, vibrant, cosmopolitan, inclusive community of 1200 families and households. The LJS Religion School takes pupils from the age of 3½ to 15; classes are on Shabbat mornings.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic professional Head Teacher who will manage the school in ways that reflect a commitment to Progressive Judaism, a keen interest in children and their spiritual and educational growth and dedication to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning.
The Head Teacher works with LJS Senior Rabbi and Religion School Principal Alexandra Wright, reports to the LJS Chair of the Education Committee, and manages a team of skilled professional teachers to inspire and innovate, structure and implement a progressive, challenging curriculum for the 21st century.
Contract: initially one year; then renewable for terms of three years – Hours: negotiable; between 21-30 hours per week.
Salary: £35,000 pro rata.
