General: Add us to your email whitelist Print E-mail

In order to ensure that your newsletter does not get caught in spam or junk mail filters, you can add us to your friends list. Since every e-mail system is different we have written instructions for some of the most popular providers/software programs used to protect email addresses.

Thank you for adding our newsletters to your friends list. To find the instructions for your provider/program, select the one you are using from the menu below:

AOL
CleanMyMailBox
CloudMark SpamNet

Outlook

  Outlook 2003

  • From the menu, select Actions ‌ Junk E-mail ‌ Junk E-mail Options.
  • Go to the Safe Senders tab.
  • Make sure Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List is checked.
  • Click OK.

  Outlook 2000

  • From the menu, select Tools | Address Book.
  • Click New ‌ New Contact.
  • In the Display field, type "Reform Movement Mailings".
  • Under Email Addresses, type newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk and click Add.
  • Click OK.

AOL
  • Go to Keyword ‌ Mail Controls
  • Select the screen names we're sending your novaPDF newsletter to.
  • Click "Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name":
    • For AOL version 7.0: In the section for "Exclusion and Inclusion Parameters", include @novapdf.com
    • For AOL version 8.0: Select "Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses and domains."
      • Click "Next" until the "Save" button shows up at the bottom.
      • Click "Save"
    • For AOL version 9.0: Select "Mail Options"
      • Pull down to "Address Book"
      • Click "Add"
      • In "Screen Name" type newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
      • Click "Save"

Alternatively, you can just send an e-mail to: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk , and that will add us to your "People I Know" list automatically. To do this:

  • Open your latest  Newsletter e-mail.
  • Click the Reply button (it's in the top right corner).
  • A new email window opens with the wrong address in the "Send To" box.
  • Replace the address in the Send To box with: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click Send Now (in the top right corner).

CleanMyMailbox

If the newsletter is filtered, from the spambox, click on the white "W" icon on the left column of the mailing. When the pop-up window comes up, simply click the Add to Whitelist button.
Alternative whitelisting methods:

  • Click on the White List button.
  • Add: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk  to the bottom of your existing list.
  • Click the Submit List button.
  • Click the Subject White List button.
  • Add:  newsletter
  • Click the Submit List button.

Cloudmark SpamNet
  • Select Cloudmark ‌ Options... from the Cloudmark SpamNet toolbar in Outlook.
  • Click Advanced.
  • Go to the Whitelist tab.
  • Click the Add button.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click OK.
  • Click OK.
  • Click Yes.
  • Click OK.

Hotmail
  • Login to your Hotmail or MSN account
  • Click on "Options" link, on the main menu tab.
  • Click on "Safe List" (under the heading "Mail Handling")
  • In the space provided enter newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click "Add"
  • When you see the address you entered in the Safe List box, click OK.

If your newsletters are still being delivered to your Junk Mail folder, select one of the messages and click 'This is not Junk Mail' to avoid having the newsletter sent to the Junk Mail folder.


Mailblocks
  • Click the Addresses tab.
  • Click New.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Make sure 'Accept Mail From This Address' is selected under Receiving Options.
  • Uncheck 'Display in People Picker' under Other options.
  • Click Submit.
  • Click OK.

MailShield
  • Click Friends from the toolbar.
  • Click Add.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click OK.

MailWasher
  • Click Tools, then Spam Tools.
  • Click Add (in the My friends list).
  • Make sure Exact email address is selected.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click OK.

McAfee Spamkiller
  • Click Friends from the sidebar.
  • Click Add.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click OK.

OddPost
  • Check your 'Probably Spam' folder.
  • If you see that the newsletter was incorrectly filtered out, select it, and click the 'Move to Inbox and Mark as Not Spam' button.

SpamAssassin

SpamButcher
  • Click the Configure button.
  • Go to the Known Senders tab.
  • Click Add under "Known Good Senders and Recipients".
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click OK.
  • Click OK.

Spameater Pro
  • Click Filters from the sidebar.
  • Click the Approved Senders tab.
  • Click Add Filter.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk under Address.
  • Choose "Full Email Address" under Address Type.
  • Select Email Domain.
  • Click OK.

Spam Inspector
  • Select Spam Inspector, then "Manage Friends List" from either the Spam Inspector toolbar or from the Outlook menu.
  • Make sure Email is selected under "Add a New Friend".
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click the >> button.
  • Click Close.

Spam Interceptor
  • Follow the Trusted link under > Authentication Lists.
  • Enter the email address: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click Add.

SpamPal
  • Click on the SpamPal system tray icon with the right mouse button.
  • Click "Add to Whitelist" from the menu.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • Click Add.

Spam Sleuth
  • Select File, then Configure.
  • Go to the Friends category.
  • Make sure Active is checked.
  • Type: newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk on a line by itself in the entry field.
  • Click OK.

Yahoo
  • Open your Yahoo mailbox
  • Click on "Mail Options"
  • Click on "Filters"
  • Click on "Add Filter"
  • In the top row, labeled "From Header:" make sure "Contains" is selected in the pull-down menu.
  • Click in the text box next to that pull-down menu, then enter newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk
  • At the bottom, where it says "Move the message to:" select "Inbox" from the pull-down menu.
  • Click the "Add Filter" button again.

If the novaPDF newsletter has been filtered to your "bulk" folder, simply open the message and click on the "This is not Spam" link next to the "From" field.


Other

If the  newsletter is being filtered, try adding newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk to your Address Book or Contact list. If this option is not available, try moving the message to your "Inbox" or forwarding the message to yourself.

If subsequent messages continue to be filtered, call or e-mail your ISP's technical support and ask how you can be sure to receive all e-mail from newsletter@reformjudaism.org.uk .
