Nova documentary is a ‘profoundly moving and important film’

Rabbi Josh Levy represented Progressive Judaism (Reform and Liberal Judaism) at the first British screening of the new documentary Surviving October 7th: We Will Dance Again.

The 90-minute film gives a harrowing glimpse into the brutal terrorist assault on partygoers at the Nova Music Festival, one of the sites in Israel attacked by Hamas.

The film features contemporaneous footage from victims, CCTV, Hamas body camera video and new interviews with survivors – sharing the personal stories of those who lived and those who died.

It shows the gruesome depravity of the terrorist violence and the heroic actions of those who were being attacked.

The premiere, held at JW3 in London, was attended by Nova survivors and the father of a victim who died trying to protect others. They were given a standing ovation.

Rabbi Josh said: “It was an extraordinary privilege to attend this screening. This is a profoundly moving and important film.”
