An initiative has been started by Israelis, Palestinians and others to plant trees in Gaza. The forest will include playgrounds and other facilities for the local people. It was launched in response to civilian casualties following an incident at Bet-Hanoun in November 2006.

The trees and other work needed will be purchased from local farmers in Gaza and will contribute to the local economy.

This initiative is part of the Center for Emerging Future and the Center for Individual Recovery and Reconciliation. To learn about the organisation click here. To find out more about the initiative or to donate, click here.
