nwss Another stimulating evening of discussion was held at North West Surrey Synagogue when its Israel Group hosted an 'Israel Any Questions' evening on February 3, 2008. The panel boasted several eminent guests comprising, among others, Talya Lador-Fresher, Deputy Ambassador of Israel to the UK, Louise Ellman, MP and Vice Chair of Labour Friends of Israel, and Ned Temko, Observer Correspondent and former editor of the Jewish Chronicle.

Over 100 members and friends of NWSS were in attendance as the distinguished panel answered thought provoking questions about the future of Israel and the hope of establishing peace in the region.

The evening was part of NWSS intensive calendar of events scheduled throughout the year in celebration of Israel’s 60th and North West Surrey Synagogues 40th anniversaries. Future events include a concert by the Yehudi Menuhin School and celebratory services.
