Each month, we will provide a list of other organisations to help you deepen your engagement with Israel and with the world-wide Progressive movement.
The Israel Relgious Action Center - The public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel (known as the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism). In its 18-year history IRAC has worked on many different social fronts, including: our network of legal-aid centers, our public policy and legal work, our publications, and our membership in various coalitions for social change in Israel The Israeli Embassy in London - Israel's London embassy. with information on the Jewish State and links to other governmental bodies The World Union for Progressive Judaism - The international umbrella organization of the Reform, Liberal, Progressive and Reconstructionist movements, serving 1,200 congregations with 1.7 million members in 42 countries. The World Union strengthens Jewish life in Israel and worldwide by establishing and supporting modern, pluralistic congregations and institutions, developing Jewish communal and youth leadership and advancing social justice.
BINA Center for Jewish Identity and Hebrew Culture - Bina strives to strengthen Israel as a democratic, pluralistic society, emphasizing Humanistic aspects of Judaism. Bina designs and implements innovative educational and social-action programs for 950 ongoing adult and young-adult students, and thousands of youth throughout Israel, every year. The Union for Reform Judaism -The umbrella body of Reform Judaism in North America provides vision and leadership to Reform Jews and congregations on spiritual, ethical, social justice and management issues. It provides programmatic support to Reform Jewish congregations and offers opportunities for individual growth and identity that few congregations could provide by themselves, such as camps and Israel programs for youth, study kallot and North American and regional biennials. The Abraham Fund - The Abraham Fund Initiatives works to advance coexistence, equality and cooperation among Israel’s Jewish and Arab citizens by creating and operating large-scale initiatives, cultivating strategic grassroots projects and conducting public education and advocacy that promote its vision of shared citizenship and opportunity for all of Israel’s citizens. The Leo Baeck Education Centre - The centre works to strengthen Rabbi Leo Baeck's educational ideals and works with all sectors of Haifa's diverse community. Etgarim - An organisation that has opened a whole new world of possibilities for thousands of children and adults with disabilities.
The Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion - The educational and intellectual centre of Reform Judaism in Jerusalem.
