The Movement for Reform Judaism

Following the donation of £10,000 raised by Friends of Progressive Judaism, Dani Fesler of the Leo Baeck Education Center, Haifa writes: 

On behalf of the entire Leo Baeck family, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for the very generous donation resulting from the Chanukah appeal of the Friends of Progressive Judaism and to the British Friends of the Leo Baeck Education Center. These funds have been used to purchase 800 Chairs and 415 Desks to refurnish all the classrooms at the Leo Baeck Junior High School. 

We are pleased to report that the children and teachers are delighted with the new furniture. Not only is the new atmosphere much more comfortable, the children can also concentrate and function better.  This is in keeping with the Leo Baeck Education Center philosophy that a pleasant, orderly and well-maintained environment helps create an optimal atmosphere for learning.

Once again, we would like to thank the Friends of Progressive Judaism and the British Friends of the Leo Baeck Education Center for carrying out this amazing campaign, which has provided the children at the Leo Baeck Junior High School with the fundamental equipment for a positive, motivational learning environment.   

I look forward to contuing our collaborative efforst towards better education in Israeli society.
