Ice cream picnics celebrate Shavuot and our new movement
Progressive communities across the country got together for joint family ice cream picnics to prepare for, and celebrate, the coming festival of Shavuot.
Each event featured Liberal and Reform communities together and included an inter-community trek and scavenger hunt, picture challenges, songs, games, and lots of delicious dessert.
Taking place at the same time as the positive Extraordinary General Meeting votes to create Progressive Judaism, they also gave members a chance to celebrate together as the results came in.
