On Wednesday 2 July at 7pm, Rabbi Elli Tikvah Sarah and Rabbi Paul Freedman will examine Progressive Prayer and Liturgy in our latest Education Hub session.
Together, they’ll ask the question – what makes our services ‘Progressive’?
Rabbis Paul and Elli will explore the main characteristics of Progressive liturgy, focussing on some of its most significant features with examples from the current Liberal and Reform prayerbooks.
They will consider what our traditions share and where they differ, and what that might mean for future developments in Progressive Jewish liturgy.

Some of the UK’s most senior rabbis and educators will be looking at our Progressive beliefs, values and ideologies – examining how they originated, their development through history and where we stand today.
Taking place on Wednesday nights at 7pm, and open to everyone, the Education Hub is an incredible free resource to learn more about the history and values of Progressive Judaism.
Whether you’re new to Jewish studies, seeking to deepen your understanding or just interested in finding out more about the 200+ year history of Progressive Judaism, this series will illuminate the shared ideals and transformative journeys that have shaped the Judaism we know and love today.
Sessions take place on Wednesday nights via Zoom. They are open to all – and you can take part in as few or as many as you wish.
