radio_4_logoAll this week, early-rising BBC Radio 4 listeners have woken up to 'Prayer for the Day' given by Rabbi Dr Tony Bayfield.

Rabbi Bayfield's prayers for the day
written by a guest , February 02, 2007
Beautiful, beautiful, thoughts. But surely no more than a very elegant evasion of the question "Where was God in the Holocaust?", isn't it?

We should not evade that key question. We should be honest and say that Reform Judaism today has adopted the theology of Reconstructionism and that all our prayers "to God" can only be explained in the light of that theological stance (or some variation of it). Shouldn't we?
